Villeena Villantheran, Psy.D. – Assessing Clinician

I am an Assessing Clinician at Compass Clinic, where I provide psychological assessment services to children, adolescents, and young adults under the supervision of a registered psychologist. I hold a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Adler University in Vancouver and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from HELP University in Malaysia. I have applied for registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.

My clinical training included assessment and therapy practicums with Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) and Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS), as well as a pre-doctoral internship with Adler Community Health Services. During my internship, I provided care across a range of settings, including La Salle College Vancouver, St. Paul’s Hospital, and the Mood Disorders Association of British Columbia. Since completing my degree, I have continued to grow my skills in both assessment and intervention through my work at BC Children’s Hospital and Compass Clinic.

I have experience assessing a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, learning disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related challenges, eating disorders, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. My approach to assessment is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. I aim to create a supportive environment where young people feel seen and understood, and where families can gain helpful insights to support their child’s growth and well-being.
