Sandy Klar, PhD, R.Psych

I am a Registered Psychologist. My passion has always been to help families succeed in navigating challenges that their children may show as they mature and, in the process, unlock their unique potential. During my graduate studies, I was fortunate to have mentors who stressed the use of evidence-based approaches such as behavioral management and cognitive-behavioral strategies to help guide children to performing at their best. I strive to provide comprehensive assessments and treatment plans that address the needs of the family. I completed my PhD at Central Michigan University and pre-doctoral internship at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. My main areas of focus included pediatric feeding disorder, developmental disabilities, and autism. This was followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. My past work experiences include working at Sunny Hill Centre for Children and BC Children’s Hospital across the Autism Clinic, Inpatient Medical Psychology.
