Kallista Bell PhD, R.Psych

I am a Registered Psychologist providing assessment and treatment at Compass Clinic. With over 7 years experience in working with children, teens, families and adults, I bring an energetic, warm, and holistic approach to my work. At Compass Clinic I provide in-depth assessments for individuals with ADHD, complex neurodevelopmental and behavioural issues, FASD, learning disabilities, and autism. I provide individual therapy for adolescents and adults with a range of difficulties including anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders, relationship problems, emotion dysregulation, PTSD and trauma, low self esteem, self-harm, and stress. I also provide family therapy and parenting support services for families going through divorce, blending families, and caring for children with mental health or medical difficulties. My therapeutic approach is evidence-based and integrative. I come from a developmental and attachment perspective and I weave in Cognitive Behaviour, Acceptance and Commitment, Mindfulness and Emotion Focused approaches to best suit the needs of the client. My specific therapeutic interests and areas of expertise include anxiety and depression, emotion regulation, self-esteem, and relationships difficulties. I completed my Master’s and PhD at Simon Fraser University, with scholarships from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). My pre-doctoral residency was completed at the Edmonton Clinical Psychology Consortium, where I specialized in working with children, teens and adults with mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, autism, learning disabilities and other developmental disabilities.
