Harris Wong, Practicum

Harris is a second year PhD student in the School and Applied Child Psychology program at the University of British Columbia. He is a third generation Chinese Canadian, and his research interests revolve around Chinese Canadian Youth’s experiences with racism and critical consciousness development. He works as a Practicum Student at Compass Clinic under the supervision of a registered psychologist completing psychoeducational and psychological assessments for children and youth. He has experience working in school districts and private practices across the lower mainland of BC. Previously, Harris worked at a neuropsychology clinic where he conducted neuropsychological assessments for patients who had received traumatic brain injuries. Throughout his experiences, taking an intersectional and systems level approach has informed his practice in many ways.
