Ruo Feng, Psychology Resident

My name is Ruo, and I am a Psychology Resident at Compass Clinic, where I provide evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention services to children, youth, and families under the supervision of Registered Psychologists. I am also a Ph.D. Candidate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa. My doctoral research centers around understanding the barriers and facilitators to mental health help-seeking among immigrant youth, with a focus on stigma, intersectionality, and racial discrimination.

Prior to joining Compass Clinic, I worked across school, hospital, private practice, and community settings, where I gained extensive experience supporting children, youth, adults, and families with complex learning, behavioural, neurodevelopmental, and mental health needs. I use a warm, empathetic, collaborative, strength-based, and client-centered approach, and I am committed to delivering culturally sensitive care that considers each person’s unique background and experiences.
