Aja Battie, M. Sc., RSLP

I’m Aja Battie, a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist based in Vancouver, BC. I completed my Master of Clinical Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Western University and have spent the past nine years working with children and families in both public and private settings.

I absolutely love what I do and feel incredibly lucky to spend my days helping children develop the communication skills they need to connect, learn, and thrive. My clinical interests are in early intervention and supporting children with autism spectrum disorder. I use a strength-based, family-centered approach and believe that therapy should be engaging, meaningful, and tailored to each child’s unique needs and interests.

I have completed specialized training in the Hanen It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words programs, as well as Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), and I continue to pursue professional development in early language development, social communication, autism, and neurodiversity-affirming practice.

Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors and can usually be found cycling, running, hiking, snowboarding, or exploring beautiful places around BC.
