Amanda Grovert, Psy.D., R. Psych
I have been in practice for over 13 years and specialize in trauma, anxiety disorders, and emerging adulthood. I am also experienced in working with artists, creators, female veterans, and individuals recovering from religious trauma. I specialize in diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and am passionate about supporting parents and partners as they navigate a new ASD diagnosis. I have a warm and approachable style and create a therapeutic environment where clients feel truly seen and understood.
My approach to therapy is integrative and holistic. I believe that therapy involves more than a sole focus on the past. Instead, together, you and I will explore patterns throughout the lifespan to understand how past experiences influence the present and shape our path forward, utilizing EMDR and other evidenced based practices.
Collaborative psychological assessment offers a comprehensive and insightful approach that provides clarity and understanding. I work with children, teens, and adults and am trained in the use of the ADOS-2 and skilled in diagnostic clarification, particularly for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I believe psychological assessment is a powerful tool that can clarify the root of an individual’s struggles. This information can then guide clients and their families onto the right path forward.
I am here to support you at every step, providing the tools and guidance needed for profound growth and insight.
I am a registered psychologist in British Columbia. I received my Masters and Doctorate from Pacific University in Portland, Oregon and have practiced in inpatient, outpatient, university, and community settings.
